Holliday Brewing officially opens Saturday at Drayton Mills

From Spartanburg Herald Journal

Holliday Brewing will make it official this weekend as the long-awaited nano-brewery opens its doors to the general public for the first time.

“Does it feel just a little overdue? Maybe,” said John Holliday, partner of Holliday Brewing. “There’s been a few delays. But it’s here now and, really, it feels like this is exactly how things were supposed to go. The weather’s going to be great and people are excited. We’re excited.”

Located at 1802 Drayton Road, Suite 125 in Drayton Mills, the brewery will open from 2-10 p.m. on Saturday. It will showcase brothers’ Jim and John Holliday’s 1,900-square-foot tasting room, complete with a polished concrete bar top and more than a dozen brews on tap.

You’ll find a variety of India pale ales, along with the brewery’s hazy India pale lager — Aloha Beach — and its Hannah brew, an Orange Blossom honey ale. The company’s Mosaic Paradise IPA has proven to be its top seller so far after two private tastings.

“We had a loose tap handle during one event,” Jim Holliday said. “And we had to turn up the gas at one point. That’s it. The events couldn’t have gone any better, so we think we’re ready.”
